Question by PiccaloG: My Fiance has Anxiety/self image problems, and it's affecting our sex life.?
We're so in Love, and we really do belong to each other.
When we first got together, we both couldn't keep our hands off each other, and we both had such high sex drives. However, he's put weight on since we've got together and he suffers badly from a soci-anxiety disorder which keeps us from doing lots of things couples usually do, such as going to the cinema and going out shopping in busy places, and lots of other every day things.
He was recently told by his doctor that he's clinically obese, even though he really isn't that big at all! And it really hurts me that he has this unhealthy image of himself in his mind, because whenever I look at him I still feel as turned on and as in love as when we first got together.
His mates and colleagues don't help at all, always pointing out his weight and stuff. He is on medication and this undoubtedly has contributed to his weight gain. Also, it may have lowered his sex drive, i don't know. But i just wish i knew a way to get it back on track.
We used to have sex three or four times a week, often more!! Now its been three weeks, and it goes like this on and off for months on end.
Sex isn't everything to me, but as many women may understand, it isn't just about the sex, its the connection you feel from it.

It's more a Mental thing than a health thing. He THINKS something is wrong, so he tries to make himself believe it and do things to make it look like it without even knowing it himself. Maybe you can snap him out of it.
